Your Arms Are My Cocoon, Oolong, Godfuck, Gingerbee, & Warm Wishes, July 17th @ The Meadows - Brooklyn, NY
Your Arms Are My Cocoon began as a solo project by Tyler Odom, releasing their brilliant self-titled EP in September of 2020, and they have steadily grown a dedicated fanbase since then. On Monday, July 17th, they played a packed show as a part of their 2023 summer tour at The Meadows in Brooklyn, New York, with support from bands Warm Wishes, Gingerbee, Godfuck, and Oolong, for a rowdy yet intimate crowd.

Drake & 21 Savage - Barclays Center (07/17/23)
The Boy. The 6ix God. “Wheelchair Jimmy.” Champagne Papi. For those who don’t know, these appear random. But they all have one central meaning, Drake. The Degrassi actor turned one of the greatest rappers of all time, is finally back on the road for his “IT’S ALL A BLUR” Tour with 21 Savage.

Warm Wishes In Middle Island, NY (06/10/23)
A staple part of Long Island’s music scene is its abundant basement shows, and just last Saturday, June 10th, an unassuming house in Middle Island hosted Georgie’s Birthday Bash for an overflowing basement. Together, The Cavaliers, Oolong (solo set), There Are No Tigers, and Warm Wishes played an unforgettable four-band gig in honor of Warm Wishes’ lead singer’s birthday.

Navy Blue @ The Market Hotel (06/10/2023)
If Navy Blue is not on your radar, you are doing yourself and your ears a disservice. If you are debating going to one of the shows he has left on the tour, you would be remiss to not attend if you’re able. That was a show I will always feel lucky to have attended.

StonedFest @ Rams Pub
Rams Pub in Holbrook is notorious for its rowdy metal shows, drawing in crowds so large they spill out through the door and onto the front lawn.

Nas @ Madison Square Garden
His place and his legacy was on full display at that moment. It's something at least 90% of the world will never experience. But as the setlist went on, so too did the performance bring out more of Nas. He was coming into his own as everything continued to great success.

CRYPTODIRA @ AMITYVILLE MUSIC HALL
With every song, I started to find myself wondering what type of different sound would show up. What would be the next genre incorporated into this song? Would it turn into almost a Linkin Park type of vibe, like I got in my favorite on the setlist, on “A Tendency to Fall” I wasn’t alone in being impressed with the transitions and incorporations from the band. Being in the crowd I could audibly hear the occasional “oh nah that's crazy” or “Ohhh” like they’re Young M.A. When something like this is done right, it's undeniable.

Scared20 @ Stereo Garden
Not only are they great musicians, but the show was genuinely funny. The comedy wasn’t forced or scripted. It bled like it was a group of friends just having fun, hanging out in public with no worries about hiding their personalities.

Chastity @ Shakers Pub
A propane tank, a jug of water, and a metal baseball bat, with the backdrop of the Sachem North flag literally set the stage. Band members adorned with clown masks, looking like the last thing you see before a wrong turn during the purge.

Incendiary @ Amityville Music Hall
Small venues can make or break a show. It is impossible to hide a dead crowd. But when it's live, it's really live. Incendiary’s performance at Amityville Music Hall could not be mistaken for a dead crowd with low energy.
